Ski touring in Squamish

There’s a reason we live in Squamish! When it’s good, it’s REALLY good. Big old growth tree skiing close to the ocean. Rad alpine couloirs. Everything in between.

We use snowmobiles, the Sea to Sky Gondola, and touring from the road as options to explore the Squamish Backcountry. With fickle weather and sometimes difficult access, it’s best to be flexible when touring in Squamish. We’ll wait to see what conditions bring and then make our suggestion to get the best skiing on the day!

The Sea to Sky Gondola

The areas around Shannon Creek provide some of our best skiing options with the added bonus that we get to sleep in until the gondola starts running at 9am. We’ll show you our favourite tree runs or splitter couloirs.

Nch’Kay (Mt. Garibaldi)

We’ll arrange for mechanized access (heli or snowmobile) to the end of Brohm Ridge where we’ll switch to touring and head up the Warren glacier towards the classic NE Face of Mt. Garibaldi. An epic steep ski line and incredible view from town, this needs to be on the tick list when conditions are right.
