Avalanche Rescue training session with Zenith Mountain Guides. January 13th.

This training day should be considered an AST tune-up with a focus on companion rescue and post-avalanche steps. It doesn’t matter if your last avalanche course was 1 year ago, or 20 years ago, this refresher will help add repetition to those skills that need to happen fast and executed precisely.

Expectation is that all participants are capable of a 60-90min skinning approach to practice site and will have all necessary equipment for a day of ski touring. Any rentals should be arranged ahead of time!

This will be an all-day (during daylight hours) event within a 1hr drive of Spry, Blairmore. Tentatively we are expecting to be on the east side of Tecumseh, parking at the Alison Cross Country Ski Area. We will communicate a final plan for meeting a few days before.
